Mining money, spent where mining is felt

The District Mineral Foundation Trust, Jamtara receives statutory contributions from mining lease holders in the district. Under the Revised Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) Guidelines, 2024, this money is invested in the people and villages affected by mining: drinking water, health, education, livelihoods and a cleaner environment. This website puts every receipt, decision and work in the public domain.

Message from the Chairperson

Mining contributes to the economy of Jamtara, but its cost is borne by the families who live near the leases. DMFT exists so that this cost is repaid in clean water, working health centres, better schools and new livelihoods. I invite every resident to use this website: check the works sanctioned for your village, follow their progress, and tell us when something is not right.
Shri Alok Kumar, I.A.S. Deputy Commissioner, Jamtara and Chairperson, DMFT
