    Apply to the PIO

    Write your question in Hindi or English, in person, by post or online. Attach the ₹10 fee.

  2. Step 2 · Within 30 days

    Reply from the PIO

    Information is given within 30 days, or 48 hours if it concerns life or liberty.

  3. Step 3 · Within 30 days of reply

    First appeal

    Not satisfied, or no reply? Appeal to the First Appellate Authority. No fee.

  4. Step 4 · Within 90 days

    Second appeal

    Appeal to the Jharkhand State Information Commission, Ranchi.
